Efser Rana Coşkun Türkmen completed her PhD in International Relations at Bilkent University in 2020. In 2019, she was a student visitor at the University of Oxford, the Department of International Development. Dr. Coskun Türkmen obtained her MSc degree in International Development from University of Bristol, and BSc in Global and International Affairs (Honours Degree) from Middle East Technical University in Turkey and Binghamton University, USA (dual diploma program). Dr. Coskun Türkmen’s research interests are humanitarianism, Turkey’s development policies, peacebuilding, emotions in International Relations and social movements. Dr. Coskun Turkmen joined the Social Sciences University of Ankara in February 2021. She also worked as an adjunct lecturer at Bilkent University Department of International Relations in 2020.

Dr. Gökberk DURMAZ received his Ph.D. (2020) and Master's (2017) degrees in Japan Studies (International (Area/ Regional) Studies) from the University of Tsukuba; and his English and American History/Culture studies at the University of Delaware in the USA. He has completed Japanese language and culture studies at Tokyo Genki Japanese Language and Culture School (subject to Law No. 1416 issued by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Education Scholarship). He received his undergraduate degree from Gazi University (Political Science and) Public Administration Department (2014). During his academic studies, he conducted multidisciplinary academic studies and field research in the fields of Japanese Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Educational Sociology, Social (Cultural) Anthropology, Higher Education Studies, and Phenomenology. Dr. DURMAZ is also a sworn translator in English and Japanese languages. The issues of internationalization of Japan and the Japanese higher education system are the academic expertise areas of Dr. DURMAZ, which were subjects of the aforementioned graduate degrees. Dr. DURMAZ has completed his master's and doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Timur DADABAEV, who has been known worldwide for research about East Asia - Central Asia relations.

Kireçci received his PhD degree from the Department of Near Eastern Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, USA, with his thesis titled "Decline, Discourse and Self-Orientalization." He has taught at the same University and has worked as a lecturer at the Stevens Institute of Technology. Kireçci, who joined Social Sciences University of Ankara Department of International Relations as a faculty member in 2019, after working at Bilkent University for a while, is the editor of Istanbul: Metamorphosis in an Imperial City (with Ed Foster, 2011), Arap Baharı ve Türkiye Modeli Tartışmaları (2013) and Türk Cumhuriyetlerinde Bağımsızlık ve Devlet İnşa Süreci (2018), and the author of Arap Milliyetçiliği (2012) and 2023'e Doğru Kültür Politikaları (2015).

Mesut Özcan graduated from Marmara University, Department of Political Science and International Relations. He completed his master's degree in the same department. During his doctoral studies, he was a guest student at the Department of Oriental Studies at St Antony's College, Oxford University with a Jean Monnet Scholarship. Özcan completed his PhD in 2007 at Boğaziçi University. He worked as a research assistant at Beykent University and as a lecturer and faculty member at Istanbul Commerce University. He held administrative positions at the Center for Strategic Research and the Diplomacy Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mesut Özcan is currently the President of the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After graduating from the Faculty of Political Science in the Department of International Relations at Ankara University in 1992, Prof. Ataman received his MA degree at Central Oklahoma University in 1996, and PhD degree at University of Kentucky in 1999. Ataman previously worked as a faculty member at Abant İzzet Baysal University and Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. Currently, he works at SETA as the Director of Foreign Policy Studies.
Prof. Ataman has been also writing on foreign policy issues for the Daily Sabah newspaper since 2017.
Ataman is the editor of Dünya Çatışma Bölgeleri I-II, Küresel Güç ve Refah, July 15 Coup Attempt in Turkey. He currently serves as the editor-in-Chief of Insight Turkey and Middle East Yearbook. His academic studies on Turkish foreign policy, the Middle East politics and the Gulf politics has been published in different Turkish, English and Arabic journals and books.

Ersun N Kurtuluş is an Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations, Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBU). Prior to his appointment at ASBU, he held academic positions at TED University, Ankara, University of Kent, Imperial College London, Open University and Stockholm University. He has published extensively in Review of International Studies, The Middle East Journal, Global Society, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism, British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Third World Quarterlyand Critical Studies on Terrorism. Kurtuluş is also the author of State Sovereignty – Concept, Phenomenon and Ramificationspublished by Palgrave/Macmillan. His research interests include contemporary trends in terrorism and counterterrorism, Terrorist intentions and strategies, Lebanese politics, state sovereignty, politics of the Middle East and collapsed states. He has been an Associate Editor of theBritish Journal of Middle Eastern Studies(BJMES) since 2007.

Assoc. Prof. Murat Yeşiltaş has completed his BA and MA at the Department of International Relations of Sakarya University, in 2003 and 2009, respectively. He earned his PhD at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Marmara University in 2012 with the thesis titled “Locating Turkey: Geopolitical Mentality and the Army in Turkey.” Yeşiltaş was a visiting researcher at the Department of European Studies and International Politics of Lancaster University between 2008 and 2009. He was a visiting researcher at Virginia Tech State University, Institute of Government and International Affairs in 2010-2011.
Dr. Yesiltas current researches are on international security, terrorism, military studies, non-state conflicts, Turkish foreign and security policy. He is currently working on the following research projects The Rise of Kurdish Geopolitical Space, Border Security in the Middle East and The New Regional Security Project in the Middle East (NRSP). Since after 1991 in Turkey; she has taught courses at Bilkent University (1991-99), Çankaya University (1999-2009), departed İzmir University (2009-2012) and Konya Necmettin Erbakan University (2012-2017). Resul YALÇIN (Asst. Prof.) received his Bachelor's Degree (1987) from Eskişehir Anadolu University. He received his MA degree in two different disciplines (Linguistics and International Relations) at Kent University in England between 1988-1992; He completed his PhD in Political Science in 1999 at Exeter University in England. During his 29 years abroad, he worked independently and sometimes with other scientific institutions such as the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and the Swedish University of Gothenburg. In one of these institutions, the University of Bonn Institute for Development Research (ZEF), Department of Political Science and Cultural Change, he did postdoctoral research as a lecturer between 2005-2008. While at the University of Bonn, he took part in the Uzbekistan study of the Ne-Water project, an international project supported by the European Union. Resul Yalçın published the first comprehensive book on politics, economics and society in Uzbekistan in the post-Soviet period in 2002 as part of the history and cultural history of Central Asia. Yalçın also wrote three book chapters as well as three book critics and 13 scientific articles; participated in numerous international conferences and academic workshops. Yalçın joined Ankara Social Sciences University in 2018 as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Relations. He has 1252 citations in journals that are included in SCI/SSCI and others.
