He completed his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and International Relations (2007-2012) and History (2009-2012) at Boğaziçi University. He received his master's degree from the same university's History Department with a thesis on the Thirty Years' War and Ottoman foreign policy (2015). He obtained his doctorate from Izmir Katip Çelebi University with a thesis on Ottoman diplomacy and Ottoman-Austrian diplomatic relations (2021). He has worked as a teaching or project assistant at Boğaziçi, Istanbul Şehir, Sabancı, and the Aga Khan Universities, as well as the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Between 2016 and 2026, hee worked as a research assistant and lecturer at Izmir Katip Çelebi University, and in 2026 he started working at Ankara Social Sciences University. His works on Ottoman-European diplomatic relations and Ottoman foreign policy have appeared in journals such as Austrian History Yearbook, Review of Middle East Studies, Osmanlı Araştırmaları, Acta Poloniae Historica, and Turcica.
