Political History examines the political structures, domestic politics of states and their interactions with each other, which are the main areas of interest in the discipline of International Relations. The Field of Political History is important in terms of providing a basis for the fields of International Relations and International Law. 

The common courses offered in the first and second years of the undergraduate program aim to provide the students with a comprehensive knowledge of global and regional political developments. These courses provide the background for the country and region level specialization offered in the third and fourth years of the undergraduate program. The Field offers courses in accordance with the needs of graduate programs.
